New Zealand in the South Pacific

Famous for its unique and contrasting scenic beauty, New Zealand is one of the most sought after places on Earth, both as a holiday experience and in which to reside. New Zealanders don't want to leave but often do temporarily on OE (overseas experience) or while working in Australia before returning permanently. Many foreigners buy in New Zealand.
Generally New Zealand is considered a safe haven far away from Terrorism, War, Pollution, Over-crowding and remains Nuclear-free under a stable democracy. We cherish our "Clean Green" sub-tropical environment.
Our dairy and meat exports and renewable forestry are our mainstay with a bright future and tourism as mentioned is significant. New Zealanders are innovative and world leaders in many industrial and sporting endeavours. The All Blacks rugby team is a source of national pride and we have excelled in yachting being previous holders of the Americas Cup.
Natural features include geothermal attractions, snow-clad mountains, lakes, beaches, native bush reserves. There is plenty for everyone to do from sightseeing, tramping, surfing, skiing, trout fishing, sea and big game fishing, deer and pig hunting as well as traditional sports.

Bay of Plenty (BOP)

The Bay of Plenty is arguably New Zealand's most desired region. It is on the favoured eastern side of the North Island in the lee of the prevailing weather and has New Zealand's highest sunshine hours. It spreads south from the Pacific Ocean from Tauranga on the western side and Whakatane on the east. Rotorua and Taupo are inland and both have major freshwater lakes for all kinds of watersports and trout fishing. The main kiwifruit growing area is east of Tauranga and avocados are also grown.
Mimiha Ridge is centrally located to take advantage of the best the Bay has to offer. 30 km to Whakatane renown for deep sea fishing; 51 km to the Mount's largest shopping centre, Bayfair with Tauranga across the harbour; 67 km to Rotorua's international airport; even closer are the towns of Te Puke and Edgecumbe with the everyday essentials available at Matata township only 6 km away.
Multiple retail, cultural, educational, commercial and recreational facilities throughout the Bay have lead to it becoming New Zealand's fastest growing and most popular area to live.

Mimiha Ridge

What is special about Mimiha Ridge? It is completely new, tucked 1 km off the Pacific Coast Highway above the Pohutukawa lined coastal cliffs. It is its own plateau with a limited number of building sites all with views to the horizon. Kohioawa Beach stretches for miles each way across the Pacific Highway and is devoid of houses. You can truly get away from it all or fish at one of NZ's best surfcasting beaches or whitebait the streams.
From Mimiha Ridge the overwhelming vista is the sea to the north with the islands of Motiti, Plate, Mayor, the Rarimas, White and Voulkner's Rocks. To the east is 15 ha of regenerating native reserve unseen as it lines the steep valley wall to the stream below but the pastoral farmland beyond is visible and spattered with patches of native bush. To the south is pastoral sheep and cattle with extensive pine forests stretching back to the Rotorua lakes district. To the west you look out on the white sands of Pukehina Beach and further over to Mount Maunganui and the hills behind.
There is a sense of apparent isolation looking out from Mimiha Ridge, but also a feeling of a safe retreat and of a secure contained enclave of a maximum of 28 properties. In reality you are immediately onto a State Highway and quickly on your way to wherever you are going!
